Previously I discussed some of my favorite channels in the Animation, News, Entertainment, and Vlog categories. I will follow through in this post of my promise to share the most popular and my personal favorite categories of YouTube, Gaming, and Science & Education. There is a trend to the best gaming channels; all of the channels deal with a hilarious group of guys just fooling around. It can be very difficult for individuals to entertain people by playing by themselves so a lot of gaming YouTubers actually collaborate with each other to create the best possible content. The most successful individual on YouTube, PewdiePie, has actually mastered the art of being entertaining by himself, but he his more suited toward a younger audience. Science and education channels all have their own quirks and special things which make them unique, unlike gaming.
Gaming
Gaming is the mainstay of my YouTube-watching time. I love just watching hilarious shenanigans being carried out by a group of friends and laugh along all day. In a list here are my favorite gamers in no particular order:
-Seananners: A talented gamer who used to be a professional Call of Duty player who has the most contagious laugh I have ever heard in my life. He creates so much distrust among the group he's with that he has spawned the catchphrase "Never Trust Nanners" or #NTN. Sometimes he even goes on philosophical tangents that are pretty nice to watch too (old example).
-Achievement Hunter: Now renamed as "Let's Play" due to them not really going for achievements in game anymore, although I still only know them as "Achievement Hunter." The crew who work for a channel I previously mentioned, RoosterTeeth, are hilarious when playing ANYTHING together. The classic comedic relief in the group is Gavin Free, a British guy who sometimes seems a little out of it. Their videos are always at least 30 minutes long and time goes by way too fast when you're watching them.
-NODE: This is a new channel I recently found extremely interesting. The guys who play together are special effects experts so they have a lot of connections. With these connections, they have recreated a lot of their favorite games they play together, and play them in real life!
-VanossGaming: Not really my cup of tea, but I know a huge amount of people have found these guys really funny. Your typical gaming group channel, except the videos are expertly edited with sound effects, cinematics, etc. which really do enhance the videos. The members are very colorful in their language, so this is not for the easily offended.

Science & Education
This might sound really boring at first, but science and education channels on YouTube are beyond amazing. They usually aren't very long but provide a lot of entertainment in a short amount of time. Each one has its own unique characteristics which will be further explained in the list below.YouTube has become amazing in the fact that you can learn anything you could ever want; someone has most likely done a video on it! YouTube even openly promotes this category one week every year, Geek Week. Once again, here is a list of my favorite educators and my opinion of them:
-Vsauce:I will always argue that Vsauce is the most interesting channel on YouTube. Period. No competition. The host, Michael, spews facts like no tomorrow to weave videos that, in the end, just completely blow your mind. If TOK was ever embodied in a single YouTube channel, this is it. The videos Vsauce makes deal with mostly questions that everyone has asked at least once in their life, but never bothered to explore. For example, "Why are Bad Words Bad?" Michael explores taboo diction; I bet someone could do fully do a language study just using this video. All sources are listed, credible, and accurate. He takes a lot of time to create these videos so they are not released that often, but they are extremely high in quality. One is always left with an ominous feeling at the end, though. Oh, and he likes puns.
-SciShow: If you ever need to cram for any science test or just want to know some random info, this is the channel for you. Hank Green, younger brother of the famous vlogger/author John Green, uses his science background to teach topics expertly within a short amount of time using beautiful animations. He even tries to add some humor in there, which is successful around 50% of the time.
-AsapSCIENCE- The videos done by this duo are brilliant. They answer random questions with sources listed, and do it in an extremely easy-to-understand and aesthetically pleasing way. The videos have a signature tune to them with the signature lively voice explaining some scientific concept. In the end, you could always be glad you spent time watching that video and will probably feel the need to share it with some friend or relative. The drawings are cute and the videos very well directed.
